Refurbished doesn't bother me, as someone else has already discovered the bugs and the company fixed them for you.
It worked great for recognizing my TV, cable box, and VCR, but wouldn't recognize my Blu-Ray player, and wouldn't even program from the remote that came with the device, unit-to-unit. I spent over 2 hours and about 6 or 7 separate updates to get all the buttons on the Harmony to work with the device! I will say the tech support people stuck with me until it was fixed, but you shouldn't need that long to get the device to work. Other people have had trouble with this, too, I guess- tech support had to search through a library of fixes to get each button to work. With a known problem with this device, they should put in a fix and include it in an Intenet update, or at least in a single patch. Also, my DVR still programs far easier from the original remote, but 2 remotes on the end table certainly beats 5. |

This is my second Harmony One. Works just as well as my first. Flexible programming gives me all the functionality I need and the charger base is great. |

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I find myself wanting to replace things in my house so that I can use this remote to control them. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I blame this remote! The setup was a little difficult because I had to dig around all my dusty equipment. It was worth it! I love being able to program activities and everything responding the way it should. I was a little hesitant to purchase a refurb, but it's been working well these past few weeks and I saved some money. I'm thinking about buying another one. |

Great Product, even though it was refurbished works perfectly. Takes a little time to set up, once you get past the setup this remotes features for controlling devices are top of the line! Perfect control, many options, great features for custom control of devices and switching between modes or power settings. Would highly suggest getting one, with the extended warranty of course |

This remote is great, I never would have believed 1 remote in lieu of 6! I was skeptical after reading how ''easy'' it was to use...but it really is. I have a receiver, DVD VCR combo, CD player, LCD TV, Cable, and BluRay for my home theater system. This remote controls everything. For example, when I select watch TV the remote turns on the receiver, TV and cable box and will shut everything else off. I also have a remote controlled heater and was able to program that in as well. My kids have dropped this remote and it still works fine (really it wasn't me). Charging the remote - I place the remote in the charging cradle and it charges; no wiggling or pushing as some reviewers have described. Expect to spend time programming it to do what you want and you'll be in great shape. If something isn't controlled correctly or there's an issue there's a help button on the remote that walks you through a Q and A until the problem's resolved. Very nice and EASY!! |
