I purchased this laptop to replace my desktop. I currently have an HP 4530 i5 that I will be giving to my wife. The acer has a MUCH bigger and brighter screen and has some processing power and memory over the HP, as well as a bigger HD, but I feel like I am going to break it everytime I pick it up. The disk drive is VERY flimsy as is the screen. The HP felt MUCH more sturdy and robust. Maybe if Acer put about $20 into materials, they could have made this one sturdier too. For a laptop of this size, its survivability is important, and I am constantly worried abount damaging it... But on a positive note, it works like a champ, is fast as all get out, has decent speakers and nice sized hard drive. I think i can also add a second hard drive... |

Only complaint is you can not add a second hard drive because the cover has plastic molding that uses the space where drive should go,you would have to grind the plastic off or I guess call manufator see if make a diferant one.Feel little ripped because of that but all in all a beast for the price. |

I bought tthis computer and was unsure if it would play my games...but the automatic turbo boost makes it a 3.1 ghz processor speed and the graphics are better than the on in my tower! i can play rich grapic game like star wars the old republic on high deatil with very little interferance! Great buy!!!! |

Got this to replace my wifes 6 year old dell. She loves it. Runs everything she can throw at it. I like the fact I can upgrade the ram to 16 Gigs. Overall great computer for the money. |
