I was very disappointed that I could not install a
Linux OS on the laptop. I always use Linux along with Windows on my computers. Could not get any sound on on linux or a complete install. I have 4
other computers with windows and linux installed on them. All different brands. Think twice before buying if you plan to install any OS. Laptop works great on windows. |

I've worked in computers most of my life so I'm not easily impressed. This laptop is a good buy, I'm not disappointed. It does what I need it to do. I would recommend it to a friend. |

Overall the laptop is a great deal priced at 399.00. It is a little heavy, but performs well and I really like the aluminum casing around the keyboard. The only issue I have so far is with the keyboard. The keyboard was built as a separate, enclosed piece that snaps down onto the laptop...but the stupid thing keeps coming off. The upper left corner of my keyboard comes unsnapped EVERY TIME I close and then open my laptop. I would NOT recommend this product to others based solely on this. It is hugely annoying to have to snap the keyboard back down every time you open the laptop. |

New computer started freezing in the first few days. Computer comes loaded with tons of trial software that needs to be removed. ASUS is a sellout- they try to tap into software royalties too much instead of impressing customers with a good computer.
I will never buy asus again |
