I accidentally got the wrong one (I always get this same thing, that also comes with S-ATA). But these devices are awesome. They work on most HDs without much trouble. Just plug them in and pull off data.
If the HD is really crashed, you can throw the HD into the freezer for a few hours, then throw the HD into a plastic bag and into a cooler with ice as you pull off some data that you could not otherwise get off. So, with just a few wires going into the cooler and baggie, you can retrieve the data. Works very well. I believe all techies should own one of these. But, I think you should get one of the ones that have S-ATA since so many devices are S-ATA these days. |

wasn't sure about it but after a little wait it picked up the hd and worked just fine. just took a short time to load up the drive like a new program. will be buying a couple more of these since have a couple more hd's with a ton of info on that don't want to lose. debated on the plain jane or the shiny product and chose the cheaper but works like the higher priced one. |

i was able to extract all my stored data and files from my p.c. tower that was destroyed by a trojan worm. i was lost without all that data. thank you so much |

I bought it to down load all my music from my old desktop to my new laptop. The only problem I had was the instructions said use the master selection but my computer wouldn't recognise it until I moved the jumper to cable select. Other than that it is an awesome product and after I was done with it, I'll use it now for backups!!! |
