This is a great external, don't listen to the people who give it a 2.0 or less. I've had mine for almost a year now with no crash, no loss of data and I have dropped it numerous times. Performance is ok, could be faster. I've noticed a little bit of lag once you've started to really fill the thing up with data. Other than that, GREAT PRODUCT! |

Drive seems to perform nicely, got a great deal on it. The inluded back up software Memeo is HORRIBLE! Known errors, crashed my system repeatedly and did not back up all of the data it says it did. Not a drive problem, just crappy software. Its only a demo version anyway, so I deleted it and bought PC back Up Pro which runs with no problems. |

All the drive did was tip over on the desk and I lost 700Gig of priceless material. I own 2 Mybook's and one passport, no problems up until now, but if they are that fragile I think i'm done with Western Digital. |

Not a good drive whatsoever. After 4 months stop working and I loose all my files. I will never any buy western digital product. |

I bought it, plugged it in, had powered on for almost 5 mins while I was installing its software, then it died, no light no sound. Glad it had a 3 years warranty, returned and got my money back. Staying away from Western Digital. ! |
