Wii Fit with Wii Balance Board For The Wii
Wii Fit is a combination of fitness and fun, designed for everyone, young and old. By playing Wii Fit a little every day, you, your friends, and your family can work towards personal goals of better health and fitness.
Wii Balance Board
The Wii Balance Board™ accessory was created from the ground up to work with Wii Fit. It's an innovative peripheral for Wii that's simple, fun, and it's a great way to get you off of the couch and into the action. The Wii Balance Board is more than just a scale —it can read your real-life movements and bring them to life on screen, just like the Wii Remote™ controller. Realistically snowboard down a mountain or walk a tight rope—it's just one more way to get into the game.
Please Note: The Wii Console is not included with Wii Fit.

The Body Test
The Body Test in Wii Fit is a short and simple set of activities used to
gauge your body's performance. After choosing a Mii™ - a virtual caricature
unique to Wii - to represent you, use the Wii Balance Board to measure your
center of balance, Body Mass Index (BMI), and body control. Based on these
results, you can also determine your Wii Fit Age. The whole family can
engage in the Body Test and compare their progress together!
Balance
Your Body Test will begin simply by checking your center of balance. After
stepping onto the Wii Balance Board accessory™ with your feet spread equally
apart, Wii Fit will check the balance of your posture and your BMI. Once the
measurement is complete, you will be able to see where your center of
balance is located and what your BMI is currently.
BMI/Weight
Your BMI, or Body Mass Index, is determined in Wii Fit by a formula
comparing your weight and height. You'll even be asked for variables such as
the weight of your clothes, so Wii Fit can provide you with an accurate
measurement. Once your BMI is displayed, you'll have the option of seeing
your weight as well, but that's completely up to you. In fact, you can even
protect your information from other users with a private PIN number.
For
players under 20 years of age:
The BMI assessment in Wii Fit is designed for adults, not for players
between ages 2 and 19. However, players ages 2 - 19 can get a BMI
measurement for informational use only.
Body Control
After discovering your BMI, you'll then test your body control. Wii Fit
measures your body control by using two randomly selected balance tests.
Perform the tests by following the simple on-screen instructions and giving
it your best shot. After completing these tests, you'll be given your Wii
Fit Age.
Wii Fit Age
Your Wii Fit Age will be calculated based on your balance-test results,
taking into consideration your actual age. Keep in mind: Your Wii Fit Age is
only a measurement of your current performance, so if you're unhappy with
it, you'll have another opportunity to improve it the next time you play.
Track progress
Once you've completed the Body Test, you can stamp the calendar, so you can
keep track of your activity. During your first and subsequent Body Tests,
you'll be asked if you'd like to set a BMI goal for some point in the future
which can be customized to fit your schedule. Check out the "What is Wii
Fit?" section for more details on charting your progress.
Training 3D Demo
All activities in the Yoga and Strength Training categories allow you to
view a 3D model of your chosen exercise, as performed by a virtual trainer.
You can even view it in realtime, from almost any angle and depth, until you
completely understand the correct body movements and positions. Want to
learn the perfect pose? Study it here.
Feedback
During and after many of the Wii Fit training activities, you'll gain
important feedback on your performance. For example, during Yoga and
Strength Training, you will receive detailed animations of where your center
of balance is during your workout. Afterwards, based on your performance,
you'll receive personal feedback that can help you improve your following
sessions. Understanding your balance during workouts is essential to a good
training.
Favorites
In addition to the standard four training modes, there is also a Favorites
section included in Wii Fit. In this section, you can select from a list of
10 activities you choose most often—it's different for each user.
Wii Fit Bank
As you do your daily training, you'll earn more Fit Credits that go into
your Wii Fit Bank. As your Fit Credits add up, more activities will become
available to you. To put it simply: The more you play, the more activities
you'll be able to do.
Training
Training is at the core of Wii Fit. You can spend as much (or as little)
time as you want trying out all of the 40+ activities Wii Fit offers. Each
game is designed to help you work your way to a more fit you. Depending on
your preference, you can get a structured workout with an in-game personal
trainer in Yoga or Strength Training, or for something faster paced and less
structured you can try your hand at the Aerobics or Balance Games.
Advanced Training
As you progress in training, it's only natural you'll get better at the Wii
Fit activities. When you reach certain benchmarks in training, new levels of
difficulty will become available, increasing the number of options you have
for your workout. Continuous training will also lead to receiving new tips
on how to combine trainings. One example is combining the Warrior pose from
Yoga with the Lunge from Strength Training. Who knows what else you'll
unlock?
How did you do?
After every activity, you'll receive a star rating indicating how you
performed along with your results. This is then compared to the other users
who play Wii Fit, so you can see how the rest of your friends and family
scored compared to you. If you are not satisfied with the rating you
achieve, you can try as many times as you'd like to improve your score.

I love the Wii Fit! 30 minutes goes by before you know it. The aerobics are fun and you really do work your muscles in the strength training. I'd buy this product again.
