Great for taking quick videos on the spot or for home use.
The good: pocket size, decent video quality, SD card slot, comes with rechargeable AA's, comes with charger for batteries,
The bad: almost no internal memory means you must buy an SD card (Get one made for taking videos!), to get the best video possible, you must hold still or use a tripod.
The software it comes with is adequate, if all you want to do is upload to youtube.
Overall a great deal for what you're getting. |

This is a great through in a bag camcorder. I work at a television station and have amazed several professionals with the quality of the video shot on this camera. You have to understand what you are buying. It does not have image stablization but that is because it is so small there is no room for it. You need to learn to shoot by holding the camera stready which is easy once you try. One thing that this has that others like it don't is macro (that is for shooting close up fine detail like text or flowers and insects). It in nice that it has removable memory which means you can expand it or carry extra cards I use a micro 4gb with an adaptor and it works great. It is also nice that it shoots in .mov format vs .avi(and the Flip you have to load a special codec). I was able to just put the micro SD card in my adaptor and it works in every computer I have used it on and no special codec. |
