I built with this Mobo & the AMD Phenom X4 BE socket AM2 3Ghz CPU. It booted no prob with OCZ 6400 DDR2 800Mhz Gold edition matched certified duel channel memory 555-15 timings. 1701 Bios.
2 Raptor X 10,000 RPM HD's in Raid 0 Array.
Express Gate will not work if you run Raid,or AHCI mode as per the Mobo book & Asus Tech.
I setup & tried normal IDE mode & Express Gate still didn't work. I did my homework & Googled the problem only to find out a few people returned this Mobo cuz the gate didn't work.
It don't bother me it won't work in Raid,& Raid is what I want. 2 XFX Geforce GTS 250 in SLI mode. I flashed & updated the Bios to 2602 after reading an online post that this would fix the Ex Gate problem. It didn't.. I did 3 days of testing. I'm happy. A solid system. Lightning Fast! 800W SLI PSU. I don't plan to overclock. I don't think It's needed. |

Im not much of an experienced Over clocker but this is good if you want the new AMD 3.2GHz CPU, just make sure to update the BIOS.
Alot of USB ports, slightly pricey in my opinion, works great after fixing minuscule problems like it not giving power to the GPU some times.
Overall a good board if you plan to fill all 3 PCIE slots, not so good if you have to use a PCI Wireless adapter. |
Go with a 790+ instead

I expected this board to be sick for overclocking, not realizing that NVidia has a ton of overclocking help for their 790 and above line. This is a very good mobo, it does very well at overclocking, but with the added features of the 790, I would suggest going with that instead if you plan on overclocking. |

I bought this board for my first ever rig build. And I could not be happier with this board. A year later there still isnt anything on the market to compete with this board for price point and/or features. This year I upgraded from a AMD 5000+ BE to an AMD 940 BE and all I had to do was upgrade my bios and were good to go. This is an awesome board. And if youre like me and dont like ATI cards this board has the 3 way SLI which not many Asus AMD board have. This board is a great board and will suit all of your needs. GET THIS BOARD. |

Have this mobo 4 1+year. exelent features. havent being able to use them all. currently running AMD6400+2cores, 4 gig 6400RAM. highly recomended. will definitelly buy it again. |
