This was my first AMD build, decided to give them a try as the costs were lower for for the speed comparison AMD VS Intel. I'm impressed and matched with the Asus MA478Pro board and easy Turbo V over clocking software included I'm doing 3.360 ghz... That is without seriously over clocking this chip. Not bad. There is value here and I have started on my next AMD build as money permits. Absolute speed, Intel is still the winner but for the average builder at a lower cost AMD is the way to go. The A in the MA478Pro is for ATI chipset and AMD the processor probably make a better match then the N boards by Asus. I'm very happy and impressed with the processor and the combination. I'm using Patriot Viper DDR2 PC2-8500 1066 4 gig. Zalman CNPS9500 AM2 cooler, idle 68 degrees F, my work load not gaming 87F cool summer and and a warm one...

I had doubts about a amd product,but let me tell you I have no quams about this product Delevers what it says it dose Power and quickness ! Id recomend this to every one who hasn't got a lot of money to spend (like me) on cpu's. This processor really threw me when I started using it. Buy it! |

Purchased this processor and upgraded the bios and Bam! It's a new processor,Cranks up and runs fine with no problems at all,Well worth the money. |

It is a very nice CPU even though the 4th core is
not able to be unlocked and used it will not boot into Windows with the 4th core unlocked. But I didn't buy it with just the main intention of being able to unlock the 4th core anyway and it is fast enough with just the 3 cores running. |
