TV is OK, as is the function of the AV mode.
The color for the PC mode is not up to par. I tried every which way to adjust to get a proper coloring effect, but to no avail. (Also used two seperate PCs). |

I have hooked this TV to a computer, DVD Player and cable TV. Very nice picture when using as a monitor for a computer or screen for DVD player. Problem comes in when you are using as a TV. The tuner varies a little like it's trying to lock onto the signal. The picture will oscillate from crystal clear to slightly blurry. I have been through all the controls and there is no fix. Also some HD cable channels will not display. TV says signal bad, yet my other HD TV has no problems. They both are hooked to cable TV. Also there is light bleeding in from the corners of the display. There also seems to be a contrast issue. Blacks start to go to that green blocky stuff. AOC is almost impossible to get a hold of. Support is (non-existent)terrible. |

Bought when it was on sale online!
Entry level HDTV is pretty nice for a 1080p HDTV this size.
Controls are inconveniently located underneath the front lower edge.
Includes a basic remote but NO cables.
Only has 1 HDMI port (no DVI port).
Color and contrast isn't that bad but can be bad in dark scenes!
You will need an external converter to get good pictures or buy an external antennae for local stations.
My HDTV will not pick up ANY local stations so I'm glad I have a satellite receiver. Unfortunately, it's a standard NOT a HD receiver so the pictures are NOT that clear but still watchable!
Forget using this HDTV as a PC monitor.
You MUST buy an HDMI-DVI cable or VGA-DVI adapter to use with computer! The icon-text size is VERY small and the picture is BLURRY (even when set to it's default rate)!
The HDTV is meant for games or movies but not PC work! Get a regular 1080p LCD monitor for PC use!

We bought this TV for our RV because it will fit in the overhead compartment but have been using it in our summer room since we bought it. It has a great picture. I love the HD. We are picking up more channels with this digital tuner than the other one we had in here. It's just the right size for the room and I may wind up buying another one for the RV and keeping this one here. The surround sound is very good. The TV was easy to set up and we thoroughly enjoy it. |
