Perfect price & time of year to shop so I could update my DVD RECORDER COMBO. The unit seems suitable & more up-to-date then my previous Panasonic Recorder, haven't tried all the new features. Easy to operate since I purchased same brand name. Hope it last as long as my previous recorder, (4 years & still running). |

Worked as expected. EZ setup. Primary focus was to transfer VHS to DVD, performed great. Also tried TV to DVD record, agian worked as advertised, quality of the recording was slightly above my expectation. |

PROS: multiple media handling, commercial skip, DVD-RAM catchup playback.
CONS: Sluggish command response, MANUAL commercial skip. Digital tuner missed on many timed recordings.

This is the second DVD recorder and VHS recorder combination that I have purchased. They work great for transfering video recordings from VHS to DVD, plus allow you to watch shows in either media. This one has lots of other capabilities as well and works great. You can record to read write media for both VHS and DVD and dub in either direction with a single button. Tuner supports digital and analog signals. Only drawback is that is does not record in High Definition format. Supports only standard video format. It does have an very good set of inputs and outputs supported. |
