I have not used the Microsoft Zune Car Pack v2 yet so this is only for the Zune itself. The Zune sounds great and the navigation seems to be great. My problem is with the software. I can't drag and drop my already organized music folders to the zune. I have many thousands of mp3's by different artists and some of my songs only have a number for a name. The zune software displays my collection in alphabetical order via artist, song, album, and genre. My songs are all over the place. It would take eons to recreate my collection the way zune displays my music. After hours of searching the web I discovered that zune will read .m3u files. Astonishingly it will not read the default media player playlist files .wpl. I create my playlists in winamp and move the playlist file to the zune playlist folder. Viola, it finally worked. Zune hardware 5 stars. Zune software 0.5 stars. |

The car adapter works really well. The case is high quality. You can't link the player with it in it, but a sharp knife will fix that.
The player is a steaming pile of crap. Controls are very bad. Have to use their software instead of just WMP. Software takes too long to DL and doesn't transfer everything and not in the slightest bit user friendly. |
