Corporate life balances work and fun

Our Richmond Corporate Headquarters is a great place to work, and Circuit City is a great company to work for. We encourage our Corporate Associates to work hard and have fun. We have intramural softball and volleyball teams that actually have tournament play. We have a huge company picnic each year. And our time away and paid time off policies can provide our Associates with the time they need away from the office, to pursue their own idea of fun.

Our headquarters are nestled into a woodland setting that features walking trails, and several naturalized ponds-it's not unusual to spot nesting ducks in the spring, a great blue heron in the summer, or migrating geese in the fall.

For those of you who enjoy a wild life more than wildlife, we have sports facilities including beach volleyball courts, and a softball diamond. For your convenience we have several on-site ATMs, dry cleaning, and cafeteria services!

We encourage communications at all levels

At Circuit City's Corporate Headquaters, we do things differently. For Circuit City Corporate Associates, meeting with executives is a far cry from going to Emerald City to see the great Oz. We cultivate a relaxed, open atmosphere. We communicate. Our Associates all work together as a team. Circuit City proudly encourages open communication, diversity, and career development among our Associates. Our open-door policy means any Associate can share ideas with anyone-up to and including the CEO. Our "Treating Associates With Respect" policy ensures everyone's right to work without harassment.

We give you a chance to find your perfect fit

Our Associates do many things well, but there's always that one job that they do better than anything else. For instance, someone who's a marvelous designer may not be able to do math. Likewise, not many of our talented accountants could design advertisements for a living. That's why Circuit City emphasizes not merely jobs, but careers. You may start your career in our Merchandising department, develop your skills, and find your niche on our Management Information Systems team. You never know. We know that as our Associates develop and learn, they find what they do best. And they're likely to love what they do.

So, what should you wear today?

Whatever you want. You will find our Associates dressed in business casual attire. The choice is yours.

Richmond, a great place to work

The Richmond area is called home by nearly one million people and several major corporations. Besides Circuit City, you’ll find the corporate headquarters of eight Fortune 500 companies. There has never been a better time to get a job in Virginia—especially with an industry leader like Circuit City.

Richmond, a great place to live

The Richmond area is a place with many contrasts. It has been the home to early settlers, state government, as well as Edgar Allen Poe. The people of Richmond combine southern hospitality and tradition with the vibrancy typical of an active, growing city. Richmond is one of those rare places providing the advantages of city living without the harsh attitude.

With a reasonable cost of living, your money will go further in Richmond than most metropolitan cities with homes near our Corporate Headquarters starting around $180,000 and apartments starting around $850 per month If you’re looking for a historic home, check out the area that we Richmonders call “The Fan.” If suburbia is more your style, Glen Allen, Hanover, or Chesterfield may be right up your alley. And for rural living, be sure to consider Goochland, Powhatan or New Kent counties.

Points of interest

Into old stuff? This is the city for you. As the long time state capital, this city overflows with Civil War artifacts and antebellum houses.

Into sports? Richmond is the home of the Richmond Braves baseball team, Richmond River Dogs ice hockey team, Richmond Speed arena football team and Richmond Kickers soccer team.

Into adventure? Richmond is central to several regional attractions; it’s less than a two hour drive to Washington D.C., Virginia Beach, or the Shenandoah mountains. Whatever you’re into, chances are that it’s close by.

Into music? Richmond is not one of those towns that shut down at night. If you’re into Rock, Jazz, Classical, or even Techno, there’s a nightspot for you.
