Gift cards are the perfect solution for hard-to-shop-for friends and family. Whether you're looking to pick one up for someone special, or you're ready to redeem one for some cool, new electronics, here are some guidelines to keep in mind.
Gift card benefits
Circuit City gift cards can be used online or in-store, so you can shop the way that's convenient for you.
There's no expiration date, so you don't have to worry about losing your balance.
It's easy to check your gift card balance online or at your
local Circuit City store.
If a gift card is lost or stolen, the remaining balance will be reissued free of charge.
If you're sending a card as a gift, you can add a message at checkout.
There are no fees. Ever.
Buying gift cards
Gift Cards can be purchased online for a minimum amount of $5 and a maximum amount of $500.
eGift Cards can be purchased online for a minimum amount of $5 and a maximum amount of $2,000.

Gift Cards may be used at any local store, or
on circuitcity.com if the card has a PIN. All stores accept gift cards
without a PIN. Stores can also cash out these old cards and resell you
a new card with a PIN that can be used at any Circuit City store or
online.
To redeem a gift card online, simply place the
items in your shopping cart and proceed through the checkout as usual.
When you're prompted to enter your payment information, you'll have
an option to pay with up to four Circuit City gift cards. Just enter
the card number and PIN for each gift card you wish to use. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase DIRECTV products, gift cards or any product/service/download from our partners. Other restrictions may apply.
When merchandise is purchased with a gift card
as the sole payment method and is returned, a gift card will be issued
for the balance due unless the balance is under $5 or if prohibited
by law.
Gift cards have no expiration date, and any remaining
gift card balance may be used for future purchases.
A merchandise card cannot be purchased from Circuit City. Also, while
gift cards have no expiration date, merchandise cards expire 90 days after
they're issued.
Additional terms
No fees will be charged on any Circuit City gift
card, regardless of when the gift card was purchased.
Gift Cards are not valid for payment on a Circuit
City credit card.
If a gift card is lost or stolen, the balance
remaining on the gift card at the time an original receipt is presented
will be reissued.
Use and/or purchase of a Circuit City gift card
constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
