When do I begin accumulating points?
You are eligible to begin earning rewards points immediately upon activation of your new Circuit City Rewards credit card and will begin accumulating points with your first card purchase at Circuit City stores that does not involve any promotional financing. To activate your new Circuit City Rewards credit card, call 1-800-947-3765.
Is there a bonus for signing up for the Circuit City Rewards program?
No, not at this time, but be on the lookout for special promotions in the future.
How do I get points?
You'll earn 5 points for every $1 you spend on eligible purchases you make using your Circuit City Rewards credit card at Circuit City stores Purchases made at CircuitCity.com may not offer the opportunity to receive points, as promotional financing terms may automatically apply. If you have a Circuit City Rewards Visa, you'll also earn 1 point for every $1 you spend using your Circuit City Rewards Visa card anywhere else Visa credit cards are accepted. Plus, you can earn additional points through special offers and promotions.
Is there anything that I won't earn points for?
You do not earn points for purchases made with promotional financing (example: 0% interest for 18 months on a big screen TV). You do not earn points on balance transfers, cash advances, any checks that access your account (including those used for purchases at Circuit City Stores and Circuitcity.com), sales tax, Circuit City gift cards, money orders, finance charges, unauthorized charges, or fees of any kind, including fees for products that protect or insure the balances of your Account. Points will be deducted for any returns or credits made on your account.
What do you mean when you say I won't earn points for purchases made with "promotional financing"?
Circuit City and Chase offer special finance offers including no interest offers on a variety of items. If you choose to purchase such an item and wish to take advantage of the no-interest finance offer by using your Circuit City Rewards credit card, you will not earn points for that purchase. However, if you prefer Rewards points, just tell the Store Associate that you do not want to accept the promotional financing for that purchase. Remember, some online purchases may not include an option to choose points as promotional financing may automatically apply.
Will I still get points if I didn't have my card and a Circuit City Associate looked up my Account in the store? Yes. Any qualifying purchase made on your Account at Circuit City will earn points even if your actual card was not presented.
Do I get points for purchasing a Circuit City Advantage Protection Plan®?
Yes. Circuit City Advantage Protection Plan purchases at Circuit City stores qualify for 5 Rewards points for every $1 of the purchase price unless you choose to accept a promotional financing offer, such as no-interest for 6 months, in lieu of the rewards points.

What happens to my points when I return an item?
The points you earned for that purchase will be deducted from your Rewards account.
I returned an item and was given a gift card. Will I get points for using that gift card on another purchase?
No. When returning an item to Circuit City, be sure that the Customer Service Associate credits your Circuit City Rewards credit card for that purchase. When you make a subsequent or replacement non-promotional financing purchase at Circuit City stores, you will then earn your appropriate Rewards points.
Are there a maximum number of points I can accumulate?
No. There is no maximum number of points you can accumulate in the Program.
Can I transfer my points to my friend's account?
Points earned are not transferable. Points from separate enrolled accounts may not be combined into one account.
How do I keep track of my points?
Your point balance will be reflected in the Rewards Points Summary section of your monthly billing statement. You can also track and redeem your points at www.circuitcityrewards.com or by calling 1-866-525-1282.

Can I get a Circuit City credit card that doesn't earn points?
No. All new accounts are Circuit City Rewards credit cards and will earn Rewards points. If you would like to use your Account but don't wish to take part in the Rewards program, do nothing; your points will automatically expire 36 months from the month in which they were earned. |
