I was looking for just a spare battery for my new camcorder and was able to get the battery and the case for less than the cost of the battery.

The package deal is a great deal if you want the both battery and the carrying bag for the cheap price.
This package comes with a less powerful (almost same battery as origianl battery). It is ER-515 with 600mAh. If you want to buy more powerful battery and do not need the bag, go for ER535. It supports to last like 4 hours. Sometimes ER535 is on sale for the half price. I had mistakenly thought this package came with ER535 battery but it's not.
Buy this if you want the bag and little over one hour recording time battery.
If your main concern is the longer battery life, buy ER-c535.
By the way I use Pana PV-GS320 with a wide lens.
