MIMO technology: The Belkin Wireless N1 USB network adapter enables multiple receivers and transmitters to send and receive data through the air, using MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology. As a result, networked computers in your home or office can quickly and easily share videos, music, photos and files.

How it works: The adapter fits any standard USB 2.0 and conforms to IEEE 802.11b/g wireless standards and draft 802.11n specification. It operates on 2.4GHz frequencies.

Greater range: This adapter provides up to 1,400 ft. of wireless coverage compared to 400 feet with standard 802.11g.

Simple setup: Just plug in the adapter and start networking right away.

Security features: Your wireless communications are protected with WPA2, WPA and WEP encryption.

I bought this to go with the Belkin N1 Wireless Router for my laptop. It was working well until I realized that it caused my laptop to start to lag. Once unplugged, it was perfect, but once I would plug it in, my laptop would start to 'stutter'. Spokewith Belkin and they said return it. I'll probably try Linksys next time.

This product needs to be revisited by the manufacture. I think CircuitCity should remove this item from its inventory in the timebeing in order to avoid more returns. Belkin makes a lot of good products, but this is not one of them. When the connection ison, the performence is excellent, but the duration is only around 5 -7 minutes. I've been told that USB type adapters will have this type of issues...try it at your own risk!

i picked this up today and i very disappointed in the performance. the installation was pretty easy but when i started to use the internet most of the pages wouldn't load and the status said i had good connection and 130mps but thats not what I experienced

So I'm taking it back
