Amcor Portable Air Conditioner

Features

Cools average-sized rooms: The Amcor ALTL-12000E portable air conditioner is designed to fit most average-size rooms up to 400 square feet.

Self-evaporating technology: As cooling occurs, the unit removes water from the air and then evaporates the water with the exhaust air. Because up to 70% of the water is evaporated, you don’t have to empty the water tank frequently.

Portable design: The portable unit sits on wheels, allowing you to move the air conditioner from room to room.

Dehumidifier: The unit’s dehumidifier feature removes up to 65 pints of water from the air a day.

Adjustable setting: Two fan speeds let you set the unit to fast or normal cooling, while moveable louvers allow you to focus the flow of air.

Washable filter: Filter maintenance is a breeze. Just pull it out and wash out dust particles.

Easy to read: The digital LCD display makes it easy to read the temperature.

I had been looking for a portable air conditioner for quite some time do to the fact that window air conditioners are so tacky and noisy for my neighbore so i was on the hunt looking for a portable a/c since her windows were right there and I had no otherwindows to put a window unit in. So my friend told me about hers she had which is this exact one. She told me that she loves hers and she highly recommends it. So set out to look for one and found it. Since then my house has been much cooler then my old a/c and cools my whole house instead of just a part or it. The best part is that its only runs on 950 watts which is alot less then all the other 12,000 btu a/c i found out there I have had this a/c for over a year now and I am still happy with it. All in all I high recommend it to everyone.

The unit will shut off automatically every 45 mins to an hour depending on the humidity then each time you have to drain the water out before it will start again. I dont know what they mean about this unit can hold up to 65 pints of water max. and the unit suppose to evaporate 70% of the water but it only takes 2 pints of water accumulation for the unit to shut off, on a humid day this will only take about 45 mins. of operation and also,the technical support department is not very helpful at all.

I bought this to use in my shop to keep the heat from being unbearable. The unit puts out a lot more cool air than I expected. Once I complete the insulation in the walls I believe this air conditioner will do a great job of cooling my 20 X 30 workshop (I know that's bigger than it's rated for but it sure beats the Florida heat). Circuit City shipping was great!
