I purchased this accessory kit online after purchasing the Sony DCR-SR82 Camcorder. Sony's web-site listed this carrying case for the camcorder, and the bag/battery combo was much cheaper than buying both seperately.

The bag is simple and practical. But at the same time, it feels tough enough that I wouldn't worry about accidentally dropping it.

Having an extra battery is essential in my mind, and it's really nice to have the large capacity battery after using the normal battery.

My only caution is that the case was larger than I expected. Since Sony's site listed the case as compatible, I somehow assumed the bag would be about the size of the camcorder. In reality, the camera fits in one section of the bag. On the other hand, it has been nice ontrips to have the other space for the camcorder accessories and a digital camera.

Overall, a good buy.

Too small if you carry your AC adaptor with your HDR-SR AVCHD Handycam

The camera fits and has space for a cable or two plus a spare battery or two. You CAN fit the AC adaptor but it must be fit so snugly and the cord wrapped so tight that it will cause premature failure of the unit.

If you won't want to charge your batterywhile away from home then it is fine.
The battery/case combo is a good price deal as well.

I bought this case along with buying the HDR-SR11 (Because whats an extra $80?) It is a great case. Camera fits nice and snug in it's compartment, and the front pouch is just the right size for video and USB cables. The extra battery is very high quality,so don't think you're getting a knock off of the original. Great purchase.
