7.1-megapixel: The S700 captures realistic, beautiful images with 7.1-megapixel resolution, even in low light or at long telephoto settings.

Zoom lens: From wide angle to telephoto and even super macro at 1cm, the Fujinon 10x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 38-380mm on a 35mm camera) lets you do it all—there's no need to carry heavy additional lenses.

2.5" LCD: The 2.5" LCD monitor allows you to easily frame and share your images.

High ISO sensitivity: Capture every detail under challenging conditions with sensitivity up to ISO 1600.

Movie mode: This camera offers full movie plus sound recording at 30 frames per second. Movie quality approaches that of digital video cameras.

iFlash Intelligent flash: i-Flash fine-tunes flash output for shooting with high sensitivity settings. It recognizes scene conditions and determines the optimum flash output to ensure superb results. Subjects in the foreground appear natural, and background detail is bright and clear.

Picture stabilization: This easy to access feature (selectable on the mode dial) lets the FinePix S700 choose the correct light sensitivity and best-matching shutter speed automatically, for the highest quality digital pictures. This means that there's no need to worry about camera shake or blurred images.

I have owned a Fuji S3000 for over 3 years and it still works great. I have grown to love the Fuji Lenses and have been so happy with the pictures it has produced. When I thought it time to buy another camera, I strongly considered the Canon S3. Comparedto others I have seen for this type of camera, it (the S3) seemed to be the best choice. And then I got a hold of this one, I was sold right away. The performance can hold its own, if not exceed the S3. The pictures are as crisp as ever. This thing cansupport both XD and SD cards. The feature that takes 2 pictures (one with flash and one without) right after each other is a great convenience if you are unsure about whether you need a flash in certain environments. Fuji finally included image stabilization. Something I missed but lived with because, as I said, I like the Fuji Lenses.
This is a very simple camera to use. However, if you want to get complicated with its manual features, go ahead and have fun.

For this camera does at $249.99 MSRP? Why not?

Easy to use and gives awesome pics. We purchased to take pics of newborn and they all come out great. Has some very useful features. Excellent quality for the low price

I love this camera. I have had it for a week and have been playing and taking lots of pictures with it. It zooms in great and takes such clear pics. I have also used the video on it which takes very good videos with very good sound. I love the fact that you can use the viewfinder (on sunny days) or use the LCD on the back. I hope to be using this more and more with the fall and holidays coming up.
