Replacement Parts Are Impossible to Get

I have the Philips HDD 1635/17 6 MB MP3 player. All-in-all, for the money it isn't a bad unit. However, I need to replace the rechargeable battery and Philips doesn't even sell a battery for its own equipment. Their own customer service directed me tothe Internet and instructed me to attempt to find a replacement battery on my own. After three days of searching and sending emails to almost every battery reseller online, no luck. So it looks like I'll have a decent MP3 player with almost 2,000 songson it with no power source. I also purchased a pair of Philips ear buds. The headphone was comfortable and reasonably priced, however in time the soft rubber tips that fit into your ear fall off. Because they are almost clear, unless you see where theyfall you'll lose them. Without these tips, the headset is useless. You guessed it, Philips doesn't sell the small rubber tips, again making another product useless.

You get so much from this package that buying it is a no brainer. The music quality is superb (I compare it to Creative Labs 'Zen'). The arm band is comfortable and convenient. The extra rechargeable batteries and battery charger ensure a constant source of life for this player. Get one for everyone on your Christmas list - you'll be the hit of the show.

I admit this is my first experience with an MP3 player, but i am really enjoying this one. In fact, I have ordered one for my grandson for Christmas. I use mine primarily to listen to books on nights that I cannot sleep. The FM radio is an excellent feature for those nights i don't feel like 'reading.'
