FAQS ABOUT THE OLD CIRCUIT CITY
1. I purchased an extended warranty, who do I contact?

2. I purchased an item from CIRCUIT CITY it is not working properly what can I do?
Please contact the manufacturer for any issues with your item.
3. I have service with FIREDOG who can I contact?
Unfortunately there is nobody to contact. Firedog, as part of the Circuit City bankruptcy, has ceased to exist and is being liquidated.
4. What if I believe the old Circuit City owes me money?
On December 19, Circuit City’s agents mailed out Notice of Commencement of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Cases, Notice of Deadline for Filing Proofs of Claim, and Proof of Claim Form(s). These Notices can be found at www.kccllc.net/circuitcity under the “Court Documents” link, dated 12/12/2008. A Proof of Claim form can be found at www.kccllc.net/circuitcity. The Notice and Proof of Claim Form provide you with the information you need to file a Proof of Claim relating to those monies, if necessary. Receiving the Notice does not necessarily mean that you have a claim or that you need to file a Proof of Claim. The Bar Date was the date set by the Bankruptcy Court by which a creditor (anyone owed money by Circuit City) must file a Proof of Claim against the company relating to the period before November 10, 2008.
CREDIT CARDS/REWARDS/REBATES:
5. I’ve paid my Old Circuit City CREDIT CARD bill online in the past. Can I still do this?
Yes. Old Circuit City credit cards are administered by Chase, and you can link directly to the Chase Web site at the following URL:

Do customers who hold Old Circuit City-branded CREDIT CARDS need to pay off their balances immediately? Or, can they just stop making payments now the Old Circuit City CREDIT CARD?
Circuit City’s credit card program is administered by Chase and customers will continue their credit relationship and repayment of their obligations with Chase.
Customers should continue to follow the current payment terms /APR that they’re currently operating under.
7. Will Chase close-out or transfer accounts for Old Circuit City-branded credit cards?
This is a Chase decision since they own the credit card relationship with the customer. If there are modifications to the card type, then Chase would notify the card holder. Customers with an old Circuit City Rewards Visa can still use their card at any company that honors VISA.
8. Will Systemax stores accept Circuit City-branded credit cards for purchases? If not, why not?
No, the Old Circuit City-branded credit cards will not be accepted in the Systemax stores because we are not offering promotional financing or rewards and we want to avoid any customer confusion.
9. Can I use my Circuit City REWARDS CERTIFICATES?
No.
10. Whom do I call if I have questions about the status of Circuit City REBATES?
Information about rebates can also be accessed by calling the number printed on your rebate form.
Please note that manufacturers' rebates are the responsibility of the various manufacturers.
RETURNS/REFUNDS/EXHANGES:
11. What about returns, refunds and exchanges?
Any purchase made from the Old Circuit City website or Circuit City store can no longer be returned for an exchange or refund.
WARRANTIES/REPAIRS:
12. Are the Old Circuit City’s EXTENDED WARRANTIES affected?
No. Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans® (extended warranties) have been backed by third-party independent companies for more than 15 years and as a result, are not impacted.
Currently, all Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans are fully backed by the Assurant Solutions companies. Assurant Solutions operates as Federal Warranty Service Corporation, Sureway, Inc., and United Service Protection, Inc. Assurant Solutions is part of Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), and its extended service contracts are backed by an Assurant insurance subsidiary rated A “Excellent” by A.M. Best Co. Assurant Solutions says it is not necessary for customers to call or email Assurant Solutions service centers to confirm the validity of their contracts. 13. What number do I call about my Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans® (extended warranty)?

14. What do I do if I want to cancel the remainder of my Circuit City Advantage Protection Plan?

For products covered under the Manufacturer’s Warranty, customers should call the manufacturer.
For products covered under Circuit City Advantage®, guests can call the toll-free number that is printed on the bottom of the product receipt. 16. I have a product in for repairs at Circuit City...how can I find out about the status of the repair?
If the repair is underway based on a warranty contract purchased before December 1, 2006, call the following number: 1.800.286.0470.

17. What’s going on with the Circuit City GAMERS SAVINGS CLUB?
The Old Gamers Savings Club program has been shut down.
18. I purchased a Lexmark printer that uses ink cartridges available exclusively at Circuit City (#2, #3, #4, #5). What do I do?
Those ink cartridges are available for purchase on lexmark.com. Additionally, Lexmark is providing information on Lexmark.com about other retailers who will begin selling the ink.
19. Why doesn’t my old login and password work anymore on the website?
We’ve been working very hard to bring up the website and give our guests the best user experience, the best content, and the best deals possible. We are planning to bring live your prior login and password but it will be a little while and when that’s done it will be even faster and easier to place orders.
