Features

Back-up: Preserve your essential computer hardware with this battery back-up system which features 13.1 minutes of typical back-up time at half-load, and 3.1 minutes at full-load. The 865 watt 1500VA capacity provides enough power to run powerful systems, larger monitors and multiple peripherals.

LCD display: The easy-to-read LCD display has more than 20 status indicators.

Outlets: 8 total power outlets (6 with battery backup plus surge, 2 surge only).

Other features: Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) technology; sealed, leakproof lead-acid battery with suspended electrolyte and PowerChute Personal Edition automatic shutdown software.

I was amazed at how much better this unit was, compared to my more commercial SmartUPS. The unit was much cheaper and has additional features, like the LCD that displays the current load. (My SmartUPS didn't have that.) The BackUPS even has specially placed power receptacles, to allow for power supply-style connectors! They though of it all...

Works great.

Display is nice - unit is hidden behind my desk so I can't really see it.

Gives me peace of mind that a brown out or surge won't fry my stuff.

Make sure you remember to plug the battery in :-))

Being an APC user for many years it just made sense to buy another one. This unit lives up to the reputation APC has in the UPS industry. I especially like the display that turns on when an event occurs (we've had two outages in the first three days) orwhen the load changes. Flawless performance so far.
