APC UPS/Surge Protector

Features

Protect your gear: This system provides an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) as well as surge protection. When power is lost, an LED warning light alerts you so that you can take action.

Backup time: This UPS offers up to 24 minutes of backup time at 80VA/50 watts.

Graceful shutdowns: When power is lost, the backup system gives you time to shut down your computer properly. If power is not restored, the included software will gracefully shut down your PC for you, so that no data is lost.

Connections: This device features six outlets, plus protection for your phone, fax and modem.

Great unit, just got it instuled and love the back up software that alows you to monitor what is going on, and you can even turn the buzzer off which is a big plus from my old belkin ( if the power is off i think i will know it). Great unit for only $30!!!!

Good for just small outages, if you want serious protection (time), look somewhere else.

Estimated time the software provides is completely inaccurate, two days ago while a storm, had three small periods of lots of low voltage and noise, so, it switched to batery on the longest one, usually it says it has approximately 30 mins of battery, butonce it jumped to battery, in just about 3 mins shut off my system, estimated up time is completely inacurate.

For small outages, it is good, if you are looking for longest periods than 2 mins, look somewhere else.

This is the fourth APC battery back up I have purchased in the last two years and they all continue to work great and keep their battery life going. I am in a location that receives a lot of power spikes and drops and the battery kicks in without a problem so that I never have to worry and my computers or other components wearing out prematurely from the uneven voltage. Would recommend to everyone.
