I thought APC would have a good product. I've been using their UPS system for many years without a problem.
I just purchased a notebook and I wanted additional battery time.
This unit managed to shorten the life of the notebook battery instead of increasing it.
After four recharges it fared no better, so I returned it or a refund.

Tip does not Fit Toshiba Tecra A7

Despite my laptop being on the list of compatible notebooks, this product did not fit my Toshiba. When I called tech support they told me that Toshiba changed their plug and that APC was waiting for a new tip. I called for three months straight waitingto find out if they ever got the new tip and eventually I just gave up.

I bought this in spite of the reviews because it is the only product out there that doesn't cost almost as much as a new laptop. Unfortunately, I have gotten lousy results as far as battery life ... I am returning this product today.
