I CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN THIS PHONE.
It's problems:
Messages left on the answering machine are so unclear that you can't make out any of the words.
When I attempted to leave my own message (outgoing) on the answering machine I had the same outcome-reallypoor quality
When you try to hold the phone with your shoulder ( mother of 4 here) you end up disconnecting the other person.
And the spot where you rest your ear is awkward and uncomfortable.

aLL SEEMED GREAT...FOR THE FIRST DAY. tHEN i REALIZED THAT THE MESSAGES WERE ALL GARBLED. Couldn't hardly understand half the messages left. And when I called myself to test it, my outgoing message was garbled too. Can't believe the poor quality froma name such as AT&T. I also didn't really like the way the buttons were set up. What seemed like the button to answer the phone wasn't. Not really super intuitive. Plus the design isn't comfortable if you will be talking for any length of time. I will be seeing what's on sale this weekend and returning this one.

Works pretty well. Bought this for VOIP service because you only have to plug one of the 3 bases into the phone jack. So I plug the main base into my VOIP adapter and then I can put the other 2 bases anywhere in the house without worrying about where aphone jack is. Highly recommended for VOIP use if you don't wanna rewire your house and/or disconnect your house from the phone company.

Phone works like a normal phone. Has the normal features and an answering machine. All in all, I couldn't really ask for more, especially at this price. I have a smaller house, so I can't really comment on the range. Has a dual band system, so it should have good coverage. Works well for me so far. Glad I bought it. It isn't the ultimate phone system on theplanet, but works like you would expect. 3 phones for the price of 1 or 2. I give it 4 stars.
