This is the best 19' monitor I ever bought. It is very bright even though it is only at 50% and the contrast is unbeatable. This monitor is the best bang for your buck. I recommend it to everyone who is shopping for a 19'. It is widescreen and movieson DVD are just great. It have different screen modes so it changes itself if you would be using it as a monitor for text, movies, graphics or just standard. You will have to set it at the highest setting on your video card though to get all the benefits. It is compatible with DVI and the standard analog plugs.
