Amcor 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner

Features

Cools and heats mid-sized rooms: A 10,000 BTU air conditioner, the Amcor AL 10000EH cools and heats rooms up to 300 square feet.

Portable design: This portable unit sits on wheels, allowing you to move the air conditioner from room to room. Air is removed from the room through a hose that fits into a narrow window opening, so you don’t have to display a large, bulky air conditioner in your window.

Self-evaporating technology: As cooling occurs, the unit removes water from the air and then evaporates the water with the exhaust air. Because up to 70% of the water is evaporated, you don’t have to empty the water tank frequently.

Dehumidifier: The unit’s dehumidifier feature removes up to 38 pints of water from the air a day.

Adjustable setting: Two fan speeds let you set the unit to fast or normal cooling, while moveable louvers allow you to focus the flow of air.

Washable filter: Filter maintenance is a breeze. Just pull it out and wash out dust particles.

Conveniences: A digital display makes it easy to read the temperature. Plus, with a convenient remote control, you can easily change the temperature settings without having to get up.

great machine but a little noisy.-

i've only owned the a/c for a month. the system is easy to set up. the system is a little noisy----the system does not turn off when is reaches its temp. the fan has 2 speeds that constantly runs. it cools the room down in a few hours. the best part is--you can take the outtake tube out of the window on cooler days to let in fresh air.

I was given this unit as a gift. I live in a high temp area, where during monsoon season, the humidity gets horribly as high as the temps, & evaporative (swamp) coolers don't work well in cooling down the house. This unit is terrific at cooling down a room & dehumidifying the air, but just a bit noisy from the air movement , tho not any noisier than a window unit. It doesn't cool down the same amount of area as a window unit with the same BTU, so it's prob best to get a unit a bit bigger than what you need. It's ease of movement is a plus, making it versatile to place anywhere with an avail window to place the air-vent. The direction manual isn't as informative as it could be, but there's nothing you can't figure out on your own when using it. I'd recomment this unit for dorm rooms, studio apartments, or single rooms/ areas,.The fact this unit is also a heater makes it truly a value. Well worth the $$.

I placed the unit as instructed but the vent does not rotate up or down so all the cool air goes upwards. The vent housing is too small and won't let it move.
