Amcor 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner

Features

Cools mid-sized rooms: A 10,000 BTU air conditioner, the Amcor AL 10000E cools rooms up to 300 square feet.

Portable design: This portable unit sits on wheels, allowing you to move the air conditioner from room to room. Air is removed from the room through a hose that fits into a narrow window opening, so you don’t have to display a large, bulky air conditioner in your window.

Self-evaporating technology: As cooling occurs, the unit removes water from the air and then evaporates the water with the exhaust air. Because up to 70% of the water is evaporated, you don’t have to empty the water tank frequently.

Dehumidifier: The unit’s dehumidifier feature removes up to 38 pints of water from the air a day.

Adjustable setting: Two fan speeds let you set the unit to fast or normal cooling, while moveable louvers allow you to focus the flow of air.

Washable filter: Filter maintenance is a breeze. Just pull it out and wash out dust particles.

Conveniences: A digital display makes it easy to read the temperature. Plus, with a convenient remote control, you can easily change the temperature settings without having to get up.

It only took 10 minutes to set this unit up in my sliding window. The instructions were clear and precise and I had no problems understanding them. The unit cools quicker and better than expected with the same noise level as my window air conditioner.Apractical, easy way to install this unit in a sliding glass door would really, really be a plus!!

Unfortunately, this AC didn't work when I took it out of the box. The fan worked great, but the compressor wouldn't kick on so no cold air came out of it. However, it was very easy to assemble and the new plastic window insert that holds the exhaust hose was easy to install.

The most positive point I'd like to make is how easy it was to return the AC to Circuit City. I bought the AC online and had absolutely no problem returning it to my local Circuit City. I was surprised at how fast they processed my return. I was in and out within minutes.

Despite the AC not working, at the very least I will definitely continue to do business with Circuit City.

This unit does not cool off my 250 sq ft room at all. It is on all day and all night and it doesnt do anything. I tried to take the unit back but circuit city will not take anything back that is over 30 days. It is only 2 months old and was only used fora week. I tried calling Amcor but their warranty is only for 30 days as well. So now I am stuck with a deffective unit! Well I know I will not be buying another one of these again. I am very dissapointed in Circuit City and Amcor.
