Amcor 9,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner

Features

Perfect for average-sized rooms: 9,000 BTU air conditioner, the Amcor AL9000E cools rooms from 250 to 300 square feet.

Portable design: This portable unit sits on wheels, allowing you to move the air conditioner from room to room. Air is removed from the room through a hose that fits into a narrow window opening, so you don’t have to display a large, bulky air conditioner in your window.

Self-evaporating technology: As cooling occurs, the unit removes water from the air and then evaporates the water with the exhaust air. Because up to 70% of the water is evaporated, you don’t have to empty the water tank frequently.

Dehumidifier: The unit’s dehumidifier feature removes up to 38 pints of water from the air a day.

Adjustable setting: Two fan speeds let you set the unit to fast or normal cooling, while moveable louvers allow you to focus the flow of air.

Washable filter: Filter maintenance is a breeze. Just pull it out and wash out dust particles.

Conveniences: A digital display makes it easy to read the temperature. Plus, with a convenient remote control, you can easily change the temperature settings without having to get up.

This unit broke on us about 2 months after the purchase -- yeah, now we can't return it. We bought it for our infant's room, and it was not only REALLY loud and noisy (which would wake him up) but then it started having trouble cooling the room. Now it shuts down at about 77 degrees, which is too hot. Save your money, buy something else. This machine is a headache.
