Very nice stand for Sony 40' LCD HDTV

Nice stand with good height and three shelves on each side. We liked the tempered glass doors that will keep the DVD player and Surround sound receiver relatively dust free. There is also good room for storage on the other unused side. It was easy to assemble and the only reason for the grade of 4 was the door hinges were a bit difficult to adjust so they closed properly and were aligned. The parts were well packed and there were no damaged or missing pieces. The back of the cabinet was also well done because it slid into a groove on the two sides and bottom then was held in place by a groove on the top piece. There was no nailing to hold the back in place like so many other pieces of put-together furniture. In our opinion it was the nicest TV stand for the money.

While it was a breeze to assemble, and the overall apperance is good the doors had wear spots from movement in shipping. it looks a little distressed. I thought about returning it but I didnt inspect the doors close enough before assymbly and I'm not going to the trouble to disassymble the whole thing to swap it out and reassymble a new piece. Plus who's looking at the stand with my new 42' hdtv stealing the spotlight.

Easy to assemble just a bit of adjustment on the hinges to make the doors close properly. Great height-puts the TV a a much nicer height than lots of stands out there. We had great help ordering it over the phone and pickup was a breeze. Looks very classy.
