Great idea - Poor Exection

I bought this thinking it was a great solution for a good price. However, from the moment I plugged it up, it sounded like an old car dragging a rusted out muffler. The faster the setting the louder the grinding. The slower the fan went the more definitethe popping was. The blades were hitting the sides. On low the fan will not run at all.

I opened up the unit and see that the blade unit is not actually supported structurally. The blades 'float' on the magnets of the motor. Good idea. However, when mounted in the chassis the blades shift and start hitting the sides of the plastic casing. Poor Execution.

Upon removing the unit I plugged it in without mounting it to the chassis and rotated it to see if there was a position where it could possibly work.I could not find one. It could be the one I purchased but I would avoid this noisy bucket of grinding, popping, clicking, product. Spend a few more bucks and get something that really works.
