Features

Capacity: This multimedia player has a built-in 160GB hard drive, enough to store up to 200 movies, 95,000 songs, or 1 million+ photos.

Screen: The high resolution 7" TFT LCD has an 800 x 480 resolution and has touch screen capability. It not only plays your digital movies, but displays ID3 tag information on your files, including track title and artist.

WiFi: This player from Archos features the fastest, easiest way to access digital entertainment for downloading wirelessly to the device. With the Archos Content Portal, the new Archos 705 WiFi puts your favorite movies, TV shows, music and more in the palm of your hand for purchase and download from any wireless hotspot and for enjoyment wherever you go.

Internet streaming: The Archos 705 WiFi bridges the gap between the PC and the TV. For the first time, you can stream content from the PC or the Internet to the TV or PMP—all through a wireless home network and the Archos 705 WiFi and optional DVR station (sold separately).

Compatibility: This player is compatible with the most popular digital file formats, including MPEG-4, WMV, MPEG-2, MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, AC3, JPG, BMP, PNG, and PDF formats.

Voice recording: Make yourself an video note in MPEG-4/AVI format or an audio note in WAV format and store it on your player to remind yourself later.

Battery: The built-in lithium ion battery is rechargeable and provides up to 25 hours of music playback or 5.5 hours of movie playback.

Connections: If you aren't using the WiFi capability, you can still connect in several other ways. There is an audio jack for headphones or TV output, a DC-in to connect the power adapter/charger, a USB 2.0 computer connection, a USB 2.0 host connection, and docking connectors to connect to the DVR station Gen 5 and other Archos accessories.

I've had Archos 604 for some time. I wanted a bigger screen and web surfing. The screen resolution could be better but I'm ok with it. DVR is not extensive but works well. I record a lot of movies. I'd hoped to watch DivX movies on stage6 but it doesn't support. Overall I am very satisfied with it since I knew what I was getting.

Great for viewing your photo and video collection on the go, or connect and watch on a TV screen while traveling. MP3 player has nice features including display of album artwork. Good intuitive interface, fairly easy to use. DISH network plug-in workedat first, but soon caused the DISH satellite to crash every time the ARCHOS was connected. Neither DISH nor ARCHOS has a fix for this, so I am very disappointed that I can't use this device for the main purpose I purchased it for. The old Pocket DISH devices (also by ARCHOS, but no longer made) worked much better for this purpose, although they had problems in the beginning too. ARCHOS tech support didn't make much of an effort to help me solve this problem as opposed to DISH Network who spent an hourtroubleshooting it with me. Also, it would be nice if everything was included in the package instead of forcing you to buy expensive plug-ins to utilize all the device's capabilities.
