Audio Technica LP-to-Digital Recording System

Features

Converts vinyl to digital: Get your classic albums off the shelf and into your MP3 player Audio-Technica makes it easier than ever to transfer your albums to the digital realm with this new recording system. The automatic turntable reduces accidental scratching of your records, and the included software even lets you clean up existing pops and scratches when you give your vinyl its new digital life.

Connect to computer: With the use of a USB cable, you’ll get a clean transfer from one device to another. The included recording software, Cakewalk PYRO (for PC use) and Audacity (for Mac or PC) helps you in your transfer.

Also connects to stereo: Still want to enjoy the sound of your old vinyl the old-fashioned way? The turntable also features a built-in switchable phono/line preamp that allows connection to a stereo system equipped with either a phono or line-level input.

Plays both speeds: You’ll be able to play and record either 33 1/3 or 45 rpm records.

Diamond stylus: The record’s needle is simple to replace.

Got the 'requested' USB turntable for a Christmas gift. Have turned several 12' albums to wave files and then recorded them to CD's. Any problems that I've had have been user error. The turntable works great and the Pyro software has been easy to use.Easy set-up of the turntable and installation of software. If you have old vinyl records that you want to bring up to digital files, this is an excellent product. Just can't find Otis Redding LIve in Europe anymore.

I have a number of LPs that I wanted to replace with CDs. This product allows me to do that without the addtional cost. My wife and I looked at a number of products and this was by far the best. The sound quality is very good and a lot of the pops and scratches are eliminated automatically. The recording process took some getting used to but eventually I became comfortable with the process.
The only negative I have is there isn't a tone arm lock. I store my turntable between sessons and have to tie the tone arm down so it doesn't bouce around when I'm moving it.

My wife and I have 100s of LPs that we'd love to convert to both CDs and MP3s. The only thing (other than time) that has held us back is that our installers for our entertainment system did such a great job I couldn't use my existing turntable or receiver with our computers. This turntable solves that problem. The turntable performs as advertised and I appreciate that I didn't have to mess with adjusting the tonearm in anyway. The software takes some getting used to, marking tracks is a cumbersome process but the results are what I wanted. I'm going to see if I can find a software package that makes the process more of a no-brainer.
