Great set of high-end earphones.

These are a great set of sound isolating earphones. The isolation is great--almost too great, meaning that you might not want to use these if you go out for a jog. Also, you'll hear the jostling and rubbing of the cords on your clothing, but that goes for all isolating earphones. These are essentially earplugs with little channels leading to the speakers. That being said, these are amazing if you need them on a train, plane, bus, or any other environment where you'll want to keep other noises out. This also comes with added benefits, 1) you'll save your hearing because you don't need to turn up the volume to hear over noise and 2) you'll extend the battery life on a portable music player because you can listen at a lower volume.

The sound clarity and detail are also great. The CK9's are well-balanced, which also means that if you prefer bass-heavy sound, you might consider other options. I actually find the bass to be just right when I adjust the EQ settings on my mp3 player. If you listen to all sorts of music, then these are highly versatile and can handle pretty much everything. Instruments and vocals are especially detailed.

The CK9's are also very comfortable. I can hardly feel them when they're on. The best way to describe the overallexperience of these earphones is like listening to your music in a vacuum--it's just you and the music. Highly recommended.

Excellent soundstage and quality. A little weak on low-end bass but that's to be expected in a pair of in-ear phones. Killer isolation. If you have them inserted properly, don't expect to hear anything but the music. Not recommended for use anywhere thatyou need to hear your surroundings.
