Very nice system, but not very tough

I received an Audiovox system directly from XM, which I installed in my 1974 Volkswagen. I had it for a couple of months when it got banged a bit by a box flopping around in the front seat. The audio out plug was broken loose by the jarring and would not work any longer, so I had to buy a new base for the radio, which was not damaged. Otherwise I really like the system. The display screen is very readable, and the ease of selecting channels is very good as well.

I asked at the store and was told 'This is for all XM radios'. I ordered it and the box said for Express Radio, so I called Circuit City and was told again that it should be OK for my radio. I didn’t want to open the package to find it was wrong. I calledXM and talked to a tech that also told me they should all be the same, why would they have different docks for each radio. I opened the box to find it was not compatible with my radio. Circuit City took it back with no problem. Wish the online description had been a little clearer.
