Though billed as a possible lecture recorder, it is not. It doesn't hear over any distance, and is basically limited to a voice memo function. This isn't too bad, if it's what you wanted. I thought I was buying a lecture recorder for school. Very disappointed at the advertising. Otherwise, the product works flawlessly, and is completely idiot-proof with its plug-and-play compatibility.

Couldn't find Record function initially. Eventually managed to get 10 mins of a 60 minute lecture. Poor s/n though

At $50, I thought at least it would work decently. It barely records if you hold it up to your face. It will record a lecture if you are sitting right in front of the professor (less than 3 feet away) AND there is absolute quietness. And thats an idelsituation that you wont find in any class room. Professors move around and there is alwasy noise. YOu would pick up a bunch of garbage otherwise.
Save your $50 and go buy yourself a dedicated recorder. I actualy bought this becuase one of my friends hvea flash mp3 player that records quite well. I thought this would at least match that performance if not better. I was utterly disapointed and I want my money back!!!
