Wider coverage: This MIMO router provides eight times the coverage of standard 802.11g devices, extending your range with improved reliability and fewer drops.

Network status display: The built-in network status display allows you to see the connections working for easy monitoring and troubleshooting.

How it works: The router connects to your cable/DSL modem and communicates with your computer’s MIMO wireless network adapters, built-in wireless capability or wired Ethernet adapters. The N1 is also backward-compatible with 802.11b/g.

I purchased the Belkin N1 router based on reviews on how easy it was to set up and it being the best of the draft N routers. Having previously installed several routers (D-Link, Linksys, and Netgear), I know that router set up is not an easy science. I have gone through my share of calls to tech support. Needless to say, I was very skeptical of the positive reviews that I had read. However, out of frustration with a Linksys SRX200 router (drop signal, network error messages, no Internet connectivity, daily resets, etc.), I decided to give the Belkin N1 router a try.

Let me tell you that it took me all of ten minutes from opening the box, to set up, to Internet surfing. The Belkin N1 router is the easiest router there is to configure. With the included wizard, this router basically self-configures for you. After three days of use, there have been no drop signal and I get a strong signal through the house.

I have set up every kind of router there is and what I like about this for a home are the LED's. You can see the indicators from across the room. There are graphic indicators that show the status of every setting on the router. Of course, everything else is top drawer.

this is a great product. took me less than 10 minutes to setup my connections. signal is very strong and all my wireless connections (except Netgear) are working great. It performed real well compared to my old G router. BIG DIFFERENCE!!! Belkin productsnever fails me. looking forward to future Belkin products
