The BEL V995CS radar detector is loaded with many features that will allow the owner to customize according to their needs. I have used detectors in the past that cost <$100 and they worked for a while but would eventually malfunction after a few years by going off all of the time, especially when it was hot outside. The last detector I had was falsing as soon as I turned it on, so it was time to buy another replacement. This time around I wanted to buy a detector with better quality that would last.The Bel 995 allows the user to turn off or on each of the bands that it can detect and the Automute feature works great by muting the annoying chirping and buzzing when you are close to a continuous radar source. It will take a few days to take advantageof all of the features the Bel 995 has to offer, but once you get used to having more control you will love it. I had a few encounters with police radar where I had plenty of warning time before the police vehicle was in sight. This unit doesn't seem togo off as much (false alarms) as my other detector did (when it was working). With the Bel 995, any signal that goes beyond two bars in strength will most likely be the real thing and not a false alarm. The cost of this unit is a little steep but if you're tired of playing around with cheap detectors and want a detector that has a higher level of quality and features, then this one might be the one for you.

THIS IS MY SECOND BEL DETECTOR. VERY SOLID UNIT..REPLACING A VERY TROUBLESOME WHISTLER UNIT. DISPLAY IS AMAZING/EVEN IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. SUPER PROGRAMABLE, BUT VERY EASY TO USE RIGHT OUT OF BOX. SWS WORKS GREAT! GREAT DETECTION RANGE..SAVED ME ABOUT TWOTICKETS SO FAR. IF YOU DO SOME RESEARCH THIS 995 RANKS AS GOOD AS BEL RX65 AND ESCORT PASSPORT 8500 X50

This product works Great being that is has the 360 on it.If you noticed the higher price one after this product 995 does not have the 360 on it...The hidden officers are mostly hiding where you cant see them and i was on a bend on a road and up on the hill about a couple miles in there was a officer up on a hill off the side of the road not any where someone would expect someone let alone threw trees on a bend up on a hill this radar detector was going off for about 2 miles...Thanks for this great product..
