Buffalo AirStation 125 High Speed Mode Wireless Desktop PCI Adapter

Features

Wireless convenience: Access your network with this fast and flexible adapter for your desktop PC. This adapter adheres to the IEEE 802.11g standard and is interoperable with any 802.11b device. To make sure you get the exact placement for the best signal, the antenna can be detached and replaced with an optional external antenna. The antenna adapter is included for the optional external antenna.

Security: This adapter supports AOSS™ (Airstation One-Touch Secure System™) allowing you to easily set up secure wireless connections to your AOSS-enabled router.

Compatibility: This adapter is compatible with Windows XP/Me/2000/98SE, and the low-profile design will work with either a full-size or low-profile PCI slot. The simple installation takes only minutes.

I was using Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter. It costed the same price. I was not happy with it because is was very slow and often times loses connection. I switched to Buffalo and am very happy with overall performance. Setup was so easy too.

I bought this card because i had previously owned a dlink wireless card. my old card lost conection all the time so i bought this one. THIS CARD IS WORSE. My connection contantly drops every 5 minutes!. every time i buy a new router, i cant connect to anything, that includes the old wireless router that was working fine earlier that day. DO NOT BUY!

the card installed flawlessly and I was up and running within 15 minutes of installing it, most of that time being spent to optimize the positioning if the router as the signal has to travel 2 floors to a basement location for the wireless outpost. Signal remains constant and hasn't dropped once (yet lol)! Best bang for the bucks.
