Wireless laptop adapter: The Buffalo Nfiniti Wireless-N laptop adapter is designed to draft IEEE802.11n standard 1.0 specifications to deliver ultimate connectivity for your wireless world. With faster wireless data rates and more coverage than legacy 802.11 products, Buffalo Nfiniti Wireless solutions provide sufficient bandwidth, range and reliability to stream high-definition video, voice and music.

Faster and extended range: Enjoy transfer rates of up to 12x faster and 4x greater range than standard 802.11g. This adapter is great for high-speed multimedia streaming or online gaming.

Compatibility: This router is compatible with the 802.11g and 802.11n standard and is backward-compatible with 802.11b, which allows for compatibility with a variety of wireless devices.

Interface: The 32-bit CardBus interface fits any Type II or Type III PC card slot.

Security: Security features include WPA-PSK and WEP.

Easy installation: The AirStation One-Touch Secure System™ (AOSS™) allows for easy setup by configuring your Internet Service Provider (ISP) settings for broadband connectivity. It also provides an easy connection for new wireless devices onto the network.

Bought this for price over a dlink card. Installation was easy. With a good signal (>90%) it flies, but once the signal drops below ~87% performance drops quickly. It takes significantly longer to connect, speed is much slower, and latency (timeouts) become a problem.

The problem is that the antenna in it is very directional. From 1 room away (<20') I get close to 100% if the end of the card is pointed at the router. Any other orientation and the signal drops to 80% or lower. Performance then goes to pieces.

This card will work well for you if you can orient your laptop properly. Otherwise, get something else like I'm doing tomorrow.

It works the way p.c. magaize said, speed 130 with verizon hook up , both desk & laptop computers, and the price low , so far so good , and secuity is easy to hook up . The hold thing is small the router and the antenna on the router and deck top is cool, pc. magaize said three better then two.
