Great printer for the price wuth lots of features

The only draw back is the ink costs almost as much as the printer itself

PG40 &CL41 good quality, but costly

We've used this ink in our Canon MP460 for the past year. The ink quality is good, and the cartridges last reasonably long, though costly compared to other ink brands. The best deals are certain office supply or 'big box' stores that sell multi packs of two black PG-40's, or two PG-40's and one color (CL-41) combos.

Learned to be economical or get another printer

Learned ink needed changing more than last printer. Learned not to print what I didn't need (you'd be surprised). Ink is cheaper than for many other printers. Karma is telling you no one wants Christmas letters :-) Can always get a new printer since thiswas real cheap, if you don't find it cost-effective.
