My ipod nano had an error and the only option was to reset the entire thing. Well, I wasn't willing to lose all the songs I accumulated over time so I was informed by Apple of another option since there was not any more. They didn't inform me specificially what to use, so I searched at Circuity City and found this. Tried it and it worked! I was able to retrieve all my songs from the ipod and move it onto my pc and back it up. I reset my ipod to it's factory settings and put all the songs back on it.I am really happy with this product! Beware, I tried Podmaxx and the software would not load when I entered the registration key. I read other reviews about it and other experienced the same issue. And it's $10 more! It sounds cool but not worth it since it doesn't work. In summary, I am happy with this product. Good luck.

My computer crashed and I was worried that I had lost my music forever. I was in fear that my Ipod would freeze and I would lose my music there as well. This product makes it incredibly easy to store and save your music from your Ipod to your PC. You canalso add music from NEW CD's, & imports onto your iPod. Such a great purchase!
