Sony MEX-1GP In-Dash CD/MP3 Player

Features

Giga Panel Technology: The MEX-1GP introduces Sony’s Giga Panel Technology. This allows you up to 1GB of built-in flash memory storage, providing hours of your favorite music at your disposal. The MEX-1GP also lets you to transfer files from your PC to your player and also displays track names and other file information.

52 watts x 4 peak power: The internal amplifier pumps out plenty of power to your speakers for great sound.

CD-R/RW playback: Play the CDs you burned at home while you're on the go.

MP3 playback: Take your digital music wherever you go for hours of continuous listening.

ATRAC3plus™ playback: It's compatible with Sony's digital audio compression technology, so you can play your ATRAC3plus™ files wherever you go.

Satellite radio-ready: Connect either a XM™ or Sirius satellite radio tuner so you can receive digital-quality channels.

EQ3: Choose from seven preset equalizer curves and three manually adjustable tone curves to produce the sound you want.

Two pre-amp outputs: Connect extra speakers, an amp or subs with the additional outputs to round out your system.

Flip-down detachable faceplate: Flip-down or remove the faceplate for added security when you leave your vehicle.

Remote control: The slim, wireless remote lets you control the CD player without having to take your hands off the wheel.

XM™ and SIRIUS Radio requires a subscription, tuner and antenna.

I had this radio installed the other day and so far it's awesome! It connected to my computer without a problem and I used Windows Media Player to transfer almost 200 songs to the flash card. It's so easy anyone could do it. Sound quality is great, it's easy to set the time and other features, I don't regret buying this unit at all and have already recomended it to several friends.

Whenever the climate reaches above 90 degrees, digital files from the memory would not play and it makes an annoying sound. I would have to shut off the system and turn it back on.
I knew I should have waited until the technology gets better.

i bought this to replace my old cdx-m8800, so far this deck has been amazing i put 200 songs on it already and it still has a quarter of its memory left over...the RCA preouts are only 2V so it doesnt push my subs as much, but i still have alot of the EQ3to experiment with overall:
