D-Link Omni-Directional 7dBi Indoor Antenna

Features

Extend your coverage: The ANT24-0700 is designed to provide extended coverage for an existing 802.11g/b wireless network. The omni-directional design offers dramatically increased wireless signal coverage in all directions. With 360° of signal reception, this high-gain 7dBi antenna will also improve data throughput at greater distances.

Highly compatible: This indoor antenna connects to a variety of wireless PCI adapters, wireless routers and access points. This antenna comes with a conversion adapter to accommodate wireless routers or access points with SMA or TNC connectors.

Easy to mount: For maximum flexibility in placement, this antenna comes with a magnetic base unit with a 1.5m extension cable and a mounting kit. The magnetic base unit will take ensure a strong hold on any metal surface.

Note: To obtain optimal results, it is recommended that a professional installer is consulted for a site survey and proper installation.

Get this before getting new router !

I went through three routers before i tried this.This antenna made the biggest differance. Went from just seeing my network to seeing five of the neighbors around me (they were weak signals but they were there). My signal strength went from 50 (before antenna) to between 80 and 90. I wish I would have tried this first it would have saved me some money.

I tried it out. It was useless. Made very little difference. In fact, it was worse in many directions and just slightly better in others. I returned and just purchased another cheap G router and configure it as wireless AP using a different channel then my other router. That was worth the $50, but this antenna is useless unless you are going to put your router in absolutely dead spot and the 59' of antenna wire allows the antenna to positioned in a better location. Don't buy it!!! Just get anothercheap router and use it as an AP!!!

I purchased this to increase the wireless signal and it worked, just barely.
Also the wire needs to be longer to give more options for placement.
(how cheap is the wire for this d-link, I mean really?)
I'm about to upgrade to 'Wireless - N' I hope for better results.
Try another product.
