For $50 you get a camera worth that much. It's not as responsive or fancy as your digital camera, but for a child's first digital camera is pretty good. My 4 year old loves it, she can operate it without help (besides uploading to the computer). It doestake a second for the photo to take after pushing the button, but so does my expensive camera. She loves the software and can use it better than I can. The screen is small and sometimes difficult to see, but at least there is a screen. Overall I wouldsay that you get what you pay for, if you want something inexpensive to see how they handle a camera, or just for a child to play with this is the one.

Christmas present for my 8 yr old daughter... Terrible pictures-- dark without flash, overexposed (as in white)with flash, and it has a very slow shutter respose ( 2-3 sec bteween the time you push the button and the picture is taken.) It was useless even for her. Awesome disney photo editing software included was the only positive thing I got for my $40 bucks. Spend a little more and get something decent I can't believe they sell these things!
