Ear Force X-52 PC Gaming Headset

Features

X-52 headset: Unlike stereo headphones, the X-52's can reproduce 3D positional sound cues that are otherwise obtainable only with surround sound speaker systems.

5.1-channel surround sound: Rather than relying on a single speaker to provide 180 degrees of sound field, the X-52 headphones have discrete speakers to handle the front, center and rear sound positions.

Foldable: The X-52s also are foldable for easy transport, and fit easily into the included bonus carrying bag.

Dual sub-woofers: On top of the headset's speakers rests large subwoofers which, in addition to handling the duties of low frequency contents, actually vibrate within the headphone shell giving the user a whole new dimension to their listening/gaming experience.

Microphone: The included microphone snaps on for Internet chat or voice recognition software.

Volume control: Convenient in-line volume control allows for adjusting individual speaker levels.

These are the best gaming headphones I have ever used for my money. The only drawback and Turtle Beach DOES tell you this, you will NEED a good sound card to get the bass really pumping. or buy the amp. adaptor they sell, well worth it.

They are good pair of headphones for the money, but the lack of a driver to tweak them does hurt them.

The sound in the headphones is excellent. Super clear and the surround sound works wonderfully when I am playing games. I really like the detachable microphone and the ability to use with my mp3 player.

Only problem is both sides of the headphones areattached with thin plastic supports. Both sides since I bought the headphones have broken. You cannot glue it back together because the supports are too thin. I have used much duct tape and other concotions to make them stable, but for an $80 pair of headphones they should be much more durable. Both headphones broke while I was sitting at my desk listening to music while I worked.

I would buy another pair to replace but it isn't worth it since I fear they will just break again, maybe my noggin is just too big!
