This is puzzling. Why should we pay 6-7 times more for batteries that get just 7 times better life? I have the Samsung digital camera, and it lasts about 50 pictures. Seems to me that the quick recharge batters (also available from energizer) are a much, much better value. By contrast, these things are only better for convenience, but not on value. Anybody have a different view on that? Thanks

Overall, you will spend about the same as using standard alkaline batteries, but you won't have to change them as often. I love these batteries in my digital recorder because I can't stand batteries dying in the middle of something I'm recording. I getabout 40 hours of recording time each time I switch them out, and that saves a lot of hassle. You also don't have to lug around a bag full of batteries! The AA size are also excellent in digital cameras.
