I bought a samnsung 22' 226BW which has a great picture and can play all the games out there in the best of picture, despite it only have a 60mhz refresh rate (something to look into if you're interested in LCD's). Despite it having the best picture outthre, it also has the most horrible stand. I put up with it for a few days, but today was my breaking point.

I went out and bought Ergotron stand it only took me about 2 minutes to set up. It seems nice and stable, being made out of metal and high tension springs.

The only reason I gave it a 3 for durability, is because I have only had it half an hour. It seems a little flimsy when adjusting the position of the monitor, but I think it is just do to the fact that it can move in so many different directions.

My monitor is 10lbs and this stand is rated for 16 my monitor doesn't weight down the springs at all... there is almost too much tension!


Great stand if you need one better value than the desk clamp metal extension arms.

Great alternative stand for pc monitors and small lcd tv's

I have an acer lcd monitor that ive been mostly happy with, except i was disappointed with how low the lcd was mounted on the original stand. So i purchase this stand so i could raise the height of it and i must say not only is it easier to see this monitor now, it also matched the exterior of my monitor perfectly. Plus you can tilt the monitor to different angles and its also easy to turn the whole monitor because of its round base. very very cool. Easy to install, even works with my 22in lcd tv. The only thing bad i could say is that i wish it was a little cheaper.

I just got done installing my 19' LCD HDTV on this stand, and I am very impressed. It is very sturdy, and the entire assembly is very solid. The circular base of the stand has some extremely well-place rubber feet that prevent the stand from scooting in any direction, but allows it to rotate if needed.

The plate that the TV is attached to is able to rotate 90 degrees, which is great if you want to use your screen in a Portrait orientation, as opposed to Landscape. This was a feature that drove me to buythis stand, since I wanted to play arcade shooters(like Ikaruga) in the proper screen dimensions on my Xbox 360.

The only issued I had during installation was being able to properly tighten the screws that attached the TV to the mounting plate. This caneasily be rectified with a socket wrench and a Philips head attachment.

All in all, I am extremely pleased, and $50 is a fair price for a stand with as much durability and functionality as this. Highly recommended.
