Features

State-of-the-art reception: This radio is able to pull in even the weakest stations. You can reel in signals using the AM/SW RF variable gain control as well as coarse or fine tuning. The jack for an external antenna (sold separately) provides the option of even more reception power.

Fine craftsmanship: You'll enjoy the aeronautically-inspired European design. The soft leather handle which extends into a shoulder carry strap is another nice touch.

LCD clock and alarm: The crystal-clear LCD screen features a clock and alarm. You can also use it to set automatic turn-on or sleep timers.

AC/DC powered: Includes an AC adapter.

I have many miulti-nabd(shortwave) portable radios. This is one of my very favorite units. Very easy and comfortable to use. Very good sensitivity and sound quality. Not only is it a solid performer for shortwave, it is very good for AM, especially plling in distant, weak stations. I recommend it very highly.

I was disappointed to learn of only d size battery selection, after reading a review detailing two battery size selections in case of emergency.

A very good general purpuse portable

I have been a SWL for years and own many other sets. The S350 is one of my favorites. The AM is very sensitive and the FM is very solid. I have found the SW not exceptional but very good. Like others, the occasional tuning drift is a small annoyance...which Grundig fixed in the S350DL. As with any analog tuner, it does take a little effort to go from one end of a band to the other. Overall, the tuner is sensitive, the sound is great, it's attractive, easy to use and the battery life is exceptional. For the price, this unit is a winner a great general purpose portable.
